about me.

Hi! I'm me, Danielle.

History and fashion have always intrigued me, so it's no surprise that vintage clothing inspires and captivates me. Little pieces of history and clues to the past.

Victorian era clothes always draw me in. Those tiny narrow boots and ever present attention to details. The buttons, the lace, the closures! As a designer, these clothes conjure all kinds of ideas for me. As a historian they become stories about the people who wore them.

I never pretend to be an expert. I have vast knowledge, which I am constantly adding to. I certainly don't know it all. People always want to know how I know so much about vintage clothing. The truth is, it's just something I've paid attention to for as long as I can remember. I do my research and ask questions.

I have a degree in fashion design, from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Los Angeles (by way of Orange County). I come from creative artsy people and am lucky enough to have always been encouraged that way.

Sunny Southern California is my home. I have the sweetest 11 year old son any mom could ask for, a crazy Jack Russell Terrier, and two kooky chickens (who only lay eggs when they feel like it). Art, music, fashion, and the outdoors are what I feed on.
